Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy forms part of the Terms of Service; capitalised terms have the meaning given there.
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy sets out what you and your Authorised Users may and may not do with the WBSync Service. It exists to keep the Service secure, lawful and reliable for every customer. Breaching it is a breach of the Terms and may lead to suspension or termination.
2. You must not
- Use the Service in breach of any law or regulation, or to infringe anyone's rights (including privacy, data-protection, IP or employment rights).
- Upload personal data you have no lawful basis to process, or special-category data into free-text fields contrary to our guidance.
- Attempt to access another customer's data or any data, account or system you are not authorised to access, or probe, scan or test the vulnerability or tenant isolation of the Service without our prior written consent.
- Circumvent or attempt to defeat authentication, rate limits, billing/metering, the approval gate, or any security or access control.
- Introduce malware, or use the Service to distribute malware, spam or unlawful, defamatory, harassing or harmful content.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile or copy the Service, or use it to build a competing product, except to the extent the law forbids that restriction.
- Resell, sublicense or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted (e.g. your own Authorised Users and, where supported, subcontractor self-service for your projects).
- Overload or disrupt the Service or the infrastructure it runs on, or use automated means (scraping, bots) in a way that harms the Service or other users.
- Misuse the third-party clock-event ingest interface, or submit data you are not entitled to ingest.
- Use the API other than in accordance with its documentation and any rate limits.
3. You are responsible for
- The accuracy and lawfulness of the data you submit, including hours used for payroll, claims or contractual purposes — you remain responsible for payroll and commercial decisions, not WBSync.
- Informing your workforce about monitoring/tracking where the law requires, and for your role as controller of Customer Data.
- Your Authorised Users' compliance with this AUP and the Terms.
- Keeping credentials secure and promptly reporting suspected misuse or a security
issue to
security@wb-sync.com.
4. Fair use
Plans are sized by active operatives with unlimited staff/management seats. We may apply reasonable technical limits (e.g. API rate limits, storage, request size) to protect the Service. If your usage materially exceeds normal patterns for your tier, we will contact you to agree a suitable plan.
5. Enforcement
If we reasonably believe you have breached this AUP, we may: warn you; remove or disable offending content; throttle, suspend or terminate access; and where required, report to authorities. Where practicable and not unlawful or unsafe, we will give notice and an opportunity to cure. We may act immediately where there is risk to the Service, to others' data, or of legal liability. We are not liable for any action taken in good faith under this policy.
6. Reporting
Report suspected abuse, security issues or AUP violations to security@wb-sync.com
(security) or legal@wb-sync.com (other).
7. Changes
We may update this AUP; the current version, with its effective date, is on this page.
