Cookie Policy

Version 1.1 · Effective 8 June 2026 · Last updated 29 June 2026

1. About this policy

This Cookie Policy explains how WBSync Ltd (CRO no. 817394, registered office Irishtown, Ardee, Co. Louth, Ireland) uses cookies and similar technologies on the WBSync marketing site (wb-sync.com) and application (app.wb-sync.com). It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

Under the Irish ePrivacy Regulations (S.I. 336/2011) and GDPR, we set non-essential cookies only with your consent. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent. To run the Service we set only strictly necessary cookies and store a small number of interface preferences in your browser's local storage. On our public marketing pages we also use one advertising cookie — the LinkedIn Insight Tag — but only after you accept it via the cookie banner shown on those pages. We do not load it, and it sets no cookie, unless you opt in; if you decline (or ignore the banner), it never runs. The authenticated application sets no advertising or analytics cookies.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use similar technologies such as browser local storage (the app uses it to remember preferences and to support offline use of the mobile PWA). We refer to all of these as "cookies" below.

3. Categories we use

Strictly necessary (always on). Required to run the Service — you cannot turn these off through the Service. They include your login session and security/anti-forgery (CSRF) tokens, and local storage used by the app and its offline service worker.

Functional (preferences). A small amount of browser local storage remembers your own interface choices (for example light/dark theme and table/filter layout). These are set as a result of choices you make in the Service, contain no tracking identifiers, and are stored only in your browser. You can clear them at any time through your browser settings.

Advertising / conversion measurement (consent required). On our public marketing pages only, and only if you accept via the cookie banner, we load the LinkedIn Insight Tag (provided by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company). It sets LinkedIn cookies and lets us measure how our LinkedIn marketing performs and reach similar audiences. It is never loaded on the authenticated application, and never loaded at all unless you opt in. You can withdraw consent at any time (see section 5). We do not sell the data collected, and we share it only with LinkedIn as the provider of this tag — see LinkedIn's own Privacy Policy.

4. Cookies and storage we set

Name Type Purpose Where Duration
sessionid Strictly necessary Keeps you logged in App Session / cleared on logout
csrftoken Strictly necessary Anti-CSRF security token App ~1 year
Service-worker / PWA caches Strictly necessary (local storage / Cache Storage) Offline support and queued entries for the mobile PWA App Until cleared
Interface preferences (e.g. wbsync.theme, layout/filters) Functional (local storage) Remember your theme and table/filter choices App Until cleared
wbsync.cookie_consent Strictly necessary (local storage) Remembers your Accept/Decline choice on the cookie banner Marketing pages Until cleared
LinkedIn Insight Tag (li_*, _li_*, lidc, bcookie, UserMatchHistory, AnalyticsSyncHistory) Advertising (consent required) Conversion measurement and audience matching for our LinkedIn marketing — set only after you Accept Marketing pages Up to ~2 years (set by LinkedIn)

We do not set the LinkedIn Insight Tag, or any other advertising or analytics cookie, until you accept it via the banner. If we add a further analytics or advertising provider in future, we will list it here and obtain consent first.

5. Managing your choices

On our marketing pages a cookie banner lets you Accept or Decline the LinkedIn Insight Tag; nothing non-essential loads until you choose Accept. To withdraw consent after accepting, clear your browser's site data / local storage for this site (which removes the stored wbsync.cookie_consent choice) — the banner will appear again and you can Decline. You can always control cookies and clear local storage through your browser settings; note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of the Service from working.

6. Changes

We will update this policy when our cookie use changes and re-confirm consent where required. The current version, with its effective date, is on this page.
